Emitex, International Trade Fair of Suppliers for the Garment Industry; Simatex, International Trade Fair of Textile Machinery; and Confemaq, International Trade Fair of Garment Machinery closed their doors after three days in which networking, business opportunities and professional development took center stage.
Throughout the three days, 109 exhibiting companies — representing more than 150 brands — showcased their products to over 12,000 professional visitors, who attended live demonstrations, exchanged experiences with suppliers, and discovered new tools to enhance their businesses.
In this regard, the Project Manager of the exhibition, Andrea Lippi, stated:
“Emitex, Simatex and Confemaq once again demonstrated that they are the space where the industry comes together to do business, discover innovations and build strategic connections. Seeing the aisles full, the machines in operation, the new developments in fabrics, trims and services, and exhibitors presenting their latest innovations confirms the importance of this event for strengthening the entire sector. Incorporating technology, improving production processes, accessing new materials and exploring innovative solutions is essential to enhancing competitiveness, and all these elements converge at every edition. The diversity of the offering on display—from machinery to textiles, accessories and specialized services—once again reinforces this event as the leading reference point for the Argentine textile and apparel industry.”
On his side, Olaf Schmidt, Vice President of Textiles and Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt, commented: “I am delighted to be in Buenos Aires with our team in Argentina. Emitex, Simatex and Confemaq showcase a very interesting market in terms of textile machinery for garment and fabric production. Argentina has great potential for this type of products, so it is essential to have a meeting point for the industry where the latest trends and technologies can be explored, such as sustainability and artificial intelligence.”
Similarly, Fernando Gorbarán, President of Messe Frankfurt Argentina, stated:
“Industries grow when they have access to information, technology and opportunities to establish new connections. Therefore, it is essential for all participants in the textile and apparel industry to meet face-to-face, exchange experiences and evaluate concrete solutions for their businesses. Emitex, Simatex and Confemaq provide precisely that: a space where trends and new technologies converge and where future investments are shaped.”
At Emitex, Simatex and Confemaq 2026, the “Perspectivas” series was held for the first time—a space where leading figures from the sector shared their vision of the industry. This initiative fostered dialogue and exchange, highlighting experience, daily work and collective insight as key tools to address today’s market challenges. Topics included the current industry landscape, trends, sustainability, the digital ecosystem and entrepreneurial stories.
Speakers included Claudio Drescher, Angie Chevallier, Mercedes Krom, Ash Matheu, Julieta Lucchini, Justino Lucchini, Soledad Beltrán Neirot, Martín Otero, Francisco Gromada, Agustina Scaglia, Victoria Froglia, Celeste D’Andrea, Nicolás Milone, Aldana Abadi and Silvia Barreto, among others.
During the event, the Exhibitors’ Conferences were also held—an area dedicated to product launches and technical presentations. A highlight was “FELPA – Extra-Long Fiber. The Cotton Journey”, where representatives from Halgon, Pato Pampa, INTA Chaco and Grupo Ritex presented the development of Argentina’s first extra-long cotton fiber. After seven years of joint work between the public and private sectors, the project has achieved optimal initial results and is progressing toward commercial production with international quality standards.
Another key feature of the exhibition was the Denim Station, a dedicated space that, through a circular journey, showcased the production and design cycle of jeanswear—from fiber to final product. All stages involved in this complex value chain were represented in a dynamic circuit combining innovation and manufacturing tradition.
It is also important to highlight that the sustainability initiatives presented at Emitex, Simatex and Confemaq were brought together under the Econogy initiative—a program within Messe Frankfurt’s global Texpertise network that aims to highlight sustainability as a strategic factor for business development and economic success.
The 2026 edition once again demonstrated the momentum of an industry that, despite challenging conditions, continues to invest in innovation, sustainability, value chain integration and shared knowledge as key drivers of competitiveness. The next edition will undoubtedly be another must-attend event for the sector.
Emitex, Simatex and Confemaq are organized by Messe Frankfurt Argentina and Revista Mundo Textil, and are part of Texpertise, a global network of more than 60 textile industry events that connect innovation, trends and business opportunities worldwide.
